Welding

The Work Ready Certificate / Welding is a 21 week program composed of 16 credit hours. This certificate is an introduction to basic welding technology, safety, and use of welding equipment. The welding courses will use the AWS Fundamentals of Welding curriculum and have oversight by a certified welder. 

Work Ready Certificate / Welding Course Sequence

This certificate program requires 16 hours of coursework as follows:

 

COMP 101: Introduction to Computers – 3 credit hours

WOSK 101: Workplace Skills – 3 credit hours

WEL 101: Beginning Welding – 3 credit hours

WEL 102: Intermediate Welding – 3 credit hours

WEL 103: Advanced Welding – 3 credit hours

WEL 199: Welding Capstone – 1 credit hour
