General Studies

The Work Ready Certificate / General Studies is a 21 week program composed of 16 credit hours. This certificate covers skills to be successful in the workplace. This certificate aims to equip students with foundational skills necessary for success in the workforce. The certificate focus on critical thinking, hard and soft skills such as time management and organization, mathematics, english, and leadership.

Work Ready Certificate / General Studies Course Sequence

This certificate program requires 16 hours of coursework as follows:

COMP 101: Introduction to Computers – 3 credit hours

WOSK 101: Workplace Skills – 3 credit hours

MATH 100: Math for the Workplace – 3 credit hours

ENG 100: English for the Workplace – 3 credit hours

LEAD 101: Leadership for the Workplace – 3 credit hours

WRGS 199: General Studies Capstone – 1 credit hour
